Volume I: Live Colourfully
Breaking the Boundaries of Batik with a Burst of Funk
Wander into a world of fresh, funky prints – The world of batik is steeped in culture and history, but it doesn’t always have to be traditional.
Designed by Orca, our inaugural volume showcases familiar symbols of good fortune: the dancing dragon (of course), opulent koi, and fortune cat –– but with a delightful and modern twist! We love her whimsical, quirky take on these time-honoured, auspicious creatures, and how she breathes life into patterns with a palette of attention-grabbing, vivid hues of hot pink, turquoise, purple, red, and yellow.
We’ve gone where batik has not gone, and the spirit of the Dragon has never been more alive –– and so is its representation of strength, energy, and good fortune.
Double the Fun 双喜临门 (shuāng xǐ lín mén) – It’s so huge, we’re launching it in two parts.
We don’t mean to brag, but Live Colourfully is such a dynamic and incredible collection that we’re breaking it into two separate events. Catch the first wave on 17 November at the Boutique Fairs, and then on 1 December at The Christmas Atelier for a double dose of vibrancy.
