Batik Care Tips
Please note that these
are natural characteristics
of batik.
However you’ll be able to maintain your beloved batik pieces for years with these tips!
Hand wash separately recommended
Medium heat iron
Do not use chlorine bleach, strong detergents or brighteners
Brown and yellowish spots found on fabric are wax residue from the batik process which can be removed with washing
Avoid heavy wringing and twisting of apparel
In the rare occurrence of dye bleed onto clothing, add a scoop of Vanish Oxi Action powder (pink packaging) into a pail of water and soak garment for 1 hour. Rinse thoroughly after to remove visible dye stains.
As a preventive measure, you may also use this tip on your first wash.
