Tell us a little about yourself!
I’m Faith, a mother of two lovely girls and during my free time, I love crafting, especially making jewellery. In 2021, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 HER2+ ER+ breast cancer while pregnant with my second child. That experience from treatments to navigating insurance struggles and unexpected blessings, completely reshaped me. It also led me down an unexpected path: becoming a financial consultant. I realised just how important it is to have someone there to guide families through such challenging times.
Cancer reshaped my life and gave me a whole new sense of purpose. My hope now is to stand with families through their hardest seasons, helping them find financial peace of mind and easing the burden of navigating insurance claims when it matters most.
And I always joke, If I had gotten enough insurance before cancer, I could have been a millionaire by now. Just imagine being able to buy every YeoMama Batik piece I love… that’s life!

How did it feel being part of our social shoot?
I was beyond thrilled! I only discovered YeoMama Batik after cancer, but better late than never. NO REGRETS since. Being part of the shoot felt like a celebration of survival and joy.
How has your family supported you throughout your journey?
My family was my anchor. My husband shaved his head bald with me and became an even more hands-on dad. He was there throughout! My elder daughter, at only 3, carried herself with a maturity no toddler should need. It broke my heart, but it also showed me how love grows strongest in the hardest seasons.
Cancer shook us all, but it also deepened our love. And through it all, my faith reminded me that I was never walking alone — a quiet strength that carried me when I felt weakest.

Are there activities, routines, or traditions that your family enjoys together that bring you comfort or joy?
It’s all about the little things: watching shows & laughing together, sharing meals, and crafting with my girls. Although honestly, I end up doing most of the craftwork under their supervision.
Looking back, is there a word or message of encouragement you wish someone had shared with you during the toughest moments?
You are not alone. It’s okay to cry, it’s okay to feel afraid. Weakness doesn’t mean the absence of strength. Healing isn’t linear. Also, don’t be too quick to 'be okay’. Sometimes, it’s really okay not to be okay. Remember to just take it one day at a time. It is enough!

If you could guide others on how to support someone with breast cancer, what would you suggest?
Cancer doesn’t just affect the patient, it shakes the whole household. What we need most is compassion, patience, and understanding. Definitely not solutions, just presence. Even if it’s just a cup of coffee, a short message to both the warrior and caregiver, it is more than enough.
Now, if you were to describe your life as a batik print, what would it look like and why?
It would be bold and colourful, full of vibrant patterns that reflect resilience, joy, and playfulness — just like my journey. Since my very first YeoMama Batik piece, batik has felt like wearing my personality in fabric form.
